An incredible film based on the true story of two cousins: Elizabeth I and Mary Queen of Scots.

Positive: very diverse cast in terms of race and sexuality. very easy to follow. the cast have made it clear the meeting scene of Mary and Elizabeth is fictious so as not be provide false allusion for the audience.

Negatives: quite violent (especially sexually violent) and I’m 18 and would not recommend unless you can handle gore (not a lot but when there is it was quite severe). There are sex scenes so only go with your parents if it won’t be awkward.
